Welcome to BAMTA

BAMTA is affiliated with Colorado State Music Teacher’s Association and the Music Teachers’ National Association. We are dedicated to excellence in music education and offer a myriad of teacher enrichment and student performance opportunities. Monthly meetings and programs provide a chance to share ideas and teaching tips with our colleagues, learn from regional and nationally recognized presenters, and continually develop as instructors and performers. And a rich academic year of concerts and competitions motivates students to reach their musical goals.

If you’re a parent looking for a music teacher, see the Find a Teacher directory for locations and biographies of the best teachers in your area. If you’re a music teacher who hasn’t yet joined BAMTA, we invite you to come to a meeting and check us out! They’re held at Harvest Baptist Church, 75th Street and Old Mill Trail (just north of Jay Rd.) at 9:00am on the third Wednesday of the month. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Marshall Fire

BAMTA is heartbroken about the devastating Marshall Fire that swept through our county, affecting tens of thousands of people and destroying over 1,000 homes. BAMTA members and students lost homes to the fires and many were forced to evacuate in terrifying conditions. There are ways to help financially if your heart desires and they would be very appreciated to help our colleagues and community members rebuild.

CSMTA (Colorado State Music Teachers Association) which is our State Association, is accepting donations for music teachers and students affected by the fire. These funds will be dispersed to member teachers and their students who have lost homes in the Boulder County fire. You can find that link here:http://comusicteachers.net/donate…

If you’d like to donate to the general fund to help all fire victims, you can find that link here: https://www.coloradogives.org/bouldercountywildfirefund…

At this time we are aware of 2 BAMTA members who lost their homes, pianos and really most everything they owned in that horrific fire. If you’d like to donate directly to these amazing music educators to help them get back on their feet, you can do so at the following links:

Thank you for your support and for your concern.
