About Ms. Lacey

With over 32 years of piano experience and a lifelong passion for singing, Ms. Lacey brings both artistry and expertise to her teaching. She has studied under some of Colorado’s most distinguished piano and voice professors and has spent more than two decades guiding children and adults in their musical growth.

Education & Credentials

Lacey earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Colorado State University and pursued graduate studies in music at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has taught piano and voice lessons for 27 years, as well as early childhood group music classes for 15 years using an effective and unique curriculum she designed. This program combines her knowledge of child psychology and development with her passion for music education–giving young learners a joyful and enriching foundation.

Teaching Approach

Lacey is known for her enthusiasm, warmth, and ability to connect deeply with her students. She fosters a supportive environment that emphasizes both strong musical skills and a love of learning. Her students not only gain technical ability but also experience the joy of expressing themselves through music.

Studio Information

Lacey’s Piano Studio is located near Airport and Mountain View in West Longmont, CO. She is currently welcoming new mid-day students, with a focus on homeschoolers and adult learners.

Beyond Teaching

In addition to music, Lacey enjoys cooking, singing as a Soprano in the Boulder Symphony Chorus, attending live concerts and theatre, and spending time outdoors with her husband and two young daughters.
