(303) 776-2500,

Music has always played an important role in Michele’s life providing a space for self-expression and exploration through voice and piano. Twenty years ago, Michele’s young daughter whom she was home schooling asked to be taught piano and so a new vocation began combining Michele’s ardent love for music with her passion for instruction. Michele recently moved from Minnesota to Longmont, Colorado leaving behind many fond memories of instruction with students ages 4-84. Michele is accepting new students and looks forward to serving the community of Longmont, Colorado. Michele attended St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin studying voice, piano, elementary and Kodaly music instruction. She has acquired 20 years of piano study, 5 years of voice and over 7 years of ensemble participation. She has completed college theory and history requirements, piano pedagogy and conducting. In 2003, she earned a B.A. in writing from the University of St. Catherine, St. Paul, MN and, in 2004, Michele attended a graduate pre-school music program – First Steps in Music – with John Fierabend at Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, WI. Michele earned her NCTM (Nationally Certified Teacher of Music) in 2007 from the Music Teachers National Association. Michele is currently a member of MTNA Music Teachers National Association, CMTA Colorado Music Teachers Association and BAMTA – Boulder Area Music Teachers Association. She has served as registration and food coordinator on Minnesota Music Teachers Association convention committee and treasurer for four years for East Suburban Federation of Music Clubs in Minnesota. In addition to Michele’s involvement in the music world, she has taken great interest in community building activities inspired by her Faith community. She served as a pre-school children’s class teacher using curriculum that focuses on virtues and character development. In 2006, she was appointed as a coordinator who assisted with and encouraged the training of new teachers to serve these children’s classes. She is presently hosting special gatherings for friends and family to explore inspirational writings related to spiritual themes such as unity, friendship, justice etc. Inspired by her Faith community’s holy writings she has also composed piano and vocal music setting prayers and scripture to music.
