Scholarships & Awards

BAMTA is proud to support and recognize outstanding young musicians through our annual scholarship program and our Outstanding High School Senior Award. The BAMTA Scholarship provides financial assistance to pre-college students who demonstrate dedication and talent in their music studies. The Outstanding High School Senior Award honors high school seniors who have shown a sustained commitment to their musical growth and community involvement. Both opportunities reflect BAMTA’s mission to encourage excellence in music education and to invest in the future of our musical community.

Student Scholarships

BAMTA offers scholarship funds for students entering 12th grade and under. The target scholarship amount is $400, though the committee may adjust this based on available funds. These funds are sourced primarily from the Multiple Piano Festival and are paid directly to the student’s teacher for use toward fall semester tuition.  Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of musical ability and financial need, with financial need being the primary factor. A committee of teachers reviews applications and recorded performances, then results are shared with teachers in June.

Application Requirements

Students, download the Student Scholarship Application. Teachers, download the Scholarship Teacher Recommendation.
