Bio:
Teresa graduated with a Master degree of Music in Piano Performance at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, with special interests in Piano Pedagogy and Choral Conducting.
Wong has performed all over the world. In her native city Hong Kong, she performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and Opera Hong Kong Company, recorded for RTHK Radio Four. She was a pianist and conductor of the Hong Kong Children’s Choir.
Wong has participated in well-renowned music festivals, and performed frequently as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician in Europe, North America, and Greater China. Her latest performance engagement includes several concert appearances in China and France.
Wong was an adjunct lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University and a teaching assistant at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before moving to Colorado, she ran a charity organization and a boutique piano school to educate the general public, and mentor other teachers to raise the general standard of teaching. She loves organizing creative music concerts and multimedia crossover performances for her students and fellow musicians to participate in and share with others the joy and beauty of music.
Wong is the first person to develop iPhone applications to train music aural ability specifically for standardized exams presented by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. She is also an author of Piano Freedom, Technique Transformation Piano Exercise Book, and Music on Wings: Piano Beginner Coursebooks. You can find her books available on amazon.com.
Other than maintaining a private teaching studio locally, Wong is also conducting music consultation online, coaching performers for high level performance and exams, and mentoring teachers on building quality teaching careers and music studio businesses.
