Multiple Piano Festival
Multiple Piano Festival
Every November, students can take part in one of BAMTA’s most exciting traditions, the Multiple Piano Festival. This unique event offers pianists a rare opportunity to perform duets and trios in a large group led by a conductor. Up to 27 students fill the stage, making music together on nine grand pianos—a powerful and unforgettable experience that builds ensemble skills, musical precision, and a strong sense of community.

General Information
What's a student announcer?
Each piece on the program will have one or two of the performing students tell the audience about that piece in a 30-second introduction. This could be information about the composer, the mood or style of the piece, or just the student’s impression of that piece, etc. If you are a confident public speaker and would like to add some extra cheer to the festival, let your teacher know. Student announcers will be chosen on audition day based on results and interest.
What is the art contest?
If you are a good artist, we encourage you to make a musical drawing on an 8 ½ x 11” paper (vertical) with black ink. All of the art will be displayed at the concert and the winning drawing will be used for the cover of the concert program. Art should be in black pen or marker on white paper—no color. The artist should sign his/her work.
Artwork is due on the audition day.
